Content Library Wireframes
I led a redesign of our Content Library, which was to share health and wellness articles to users at a life insurance tech start up (specific name available upon request). Extending upon Version 1 I made wireframes for both web-app and mobile.
Content Library Version 1
For the MVP, the product team determined which features were essential to include in Version 1.
|Dashboard Content Card||User can see a Content Index card on their Dashboard.||Must Have||We could consider other options for the title of this card, such as "Recommended Reading."|
|Dashboard Content Card||User will be shown three articles within the Content Index Card at any given time||Must Have|
|Article Cards||If we do not find a taxonomy match, users should see a random assortment of articles.||Should Have||Initially, we are manually selecting articles to show every other week (on Monday).|
|Article Cards||User should see a new set of articles every 14 days.||Must Have||We can change the number of days if there is feedback on this.|
|Article Cards||Article cards should show article title short excerpt from the article.||Must Have|
|Article Cards||User has a way to access to the full article if they want to read more.||Must Have|
|Article||User can read the full article||Must Have|
|Article||User can specify whether they 'like' or 'dislike' the article||Should Have||Copy of 'like' and 'dislike' may change depending on the question asked to gauge user's satisfaction with the article.|
|Content Management||Articles can be added, edited, and deleted by Life.io admins.||Must Have||Articles can be added, edited, and deleted in GatherContent. We can then populate the CDN with the content stored in GatherContent. Need to have a flag for "ready to publishing" when items are added to GatherContent but not ready to go live.|
|Article Cards||Article cards should have category labels||Nice to Have||Labels such as "exercise"|
|Content Index Page||User has the ability to watch relevant videos.||Nice to Have|
Content Library Version 2
Before designing new wireframes I reviewed prior work on Version 1 and extended the features we wanted to add for Version 2.
|Article Cards||User should see articles relevant to their areas of interest / taxonomy.||Should Have|
|Dashboard Content Card||User can scroll between different views of the Content Card.||Nice to Have|
|Article Cards||Article cards should have an image header that is pulled from the article itself.||Nice to Have|
|Content Index Page||User should have access to a full Content Index Page.||Nice to Have|
|Content Index Page||User must have access to the three most recent articles selected by Life.io admin.||Nice to Have|
|Content Index Page||User should have the ability to search the content available on the Content Index Page.||Nice to Have|
|Content Index Page||User should have the ability to filter the content available on the Content Index Page.||Nice to Have|
|Content Index Page||User should have the ability to bookmark articles.||Nice to Have|
|Content Index Page||User should have the ability to revisit their bookmarked content.||Nice to Have|
Below are designs for both web-app and mobile app Version 2. It included the option to see the most recent articles, sorting by areas of interest, and also browsing by genre.
